The Guildhall Facilities Assistant will support the Event Management Team in providing a seamless service for Guildhall customers from enquiry to final delivery of their event and support the facilities management team in the day to day building operations and maintenance.

You will be working as part of the events and facilities team ensuring rooms are prepared for our many varied events, welcoming guests, supporting our café and bar services and generally working with our events managers in the duty managing of the building.

The Guildhall is a large building with a high footfall and you will also assist with the ongoing maintenance of the building. This may include basic plumbing, painting/decorating, and generally looking after the fixtures, fittings and equipment of the Guildhall. You will report and provide information on any matters relating to servicing, maintenance and repairs, undertaking tasks / repairs as required.

This role is a very hands-on, physically demanding operational role and involves face to face interaction with members of the Council and Public alike. It would suit an individual who is either currently working or would like to work in a multi-purpose venue with an exciting range of events, but is not afraid of hard work and pulling together as a team.

Shift patterns are arranged on a rotation basis and involve daytimes, weekends and evening work.
