Digital Transformation Support Officer [1625]

We have an exciting opportunity for Digital Transformation Support Officer working within our Strategic Resources Service on a temporary contract/secondment for 2 years.

In this role you will provide the impetus and drive for a transformational shift in the way Winchester City Council delivers its services helping developing a shift to a ‘digital first’ culture in line with the Council’s Digital Strategy.

You support the Digital Transformation Officer as we implement a series of digital projects to improve the customer’s experience of both dealing with the Council and experiencing the Winchester district. We will be fulfilling an ambitious drive to move services online by 2020, allowing people to carry out transactions more quickly and efficiently.

You’ll be working with departments across the council to

• accurately assess what the present level of online interaction is
• develop ways for their customers to fulfil their transactions online
• promote self-service channels
• ensure that they work smoothly, monitoring customer and service lead feedback and

In addition to this you’ll support the Digital Transformation Officer to introduce free wi-fi across the city centre and explore ways of improving the experience of Winchester via new technologies including Apps and digital signage.

The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the business to engage and drive forward change.
